Cattle & Commercial Terms
5 terms
Cattle Livestock
The everyday word for domesticated bovine animals — cows, bulls and young stock. Our cattle are selected according to suitability, condition, structure and the requirements of the farm operation.
Collection Arrangements Commercial
How and when purchased livestock leaves the farm. Collection and delivery details are discussed and agreed directly with our team as part of each buyer's requirement — see the buying & supply FAQ.
Commercial Livestock Livestock
Animals that have completed their time on the farm and are suitable for commercial sale. At Latif Sons, that means livestock prepared for slaughterhouses, meat buyers, traders and other commercial requirements.
Commercial Preparation Farm Cycle
The last stage of the farm cycle. As animals progress, the team reviews their overall condition and suitability for commercial sale.
Condition Monitoring Animal Care
Keeping track of an animal's overall condition and progress during its stay at the farm. Animals showing slower or unusual progress can receive closer observation from the farm team.

Daily Observation Animal Care
The routine of watching the herd every day. Regular observation helps our team notice changes in condition and general behaviour early, so animals that need closer attention get it.

Farm Cycle Operations
The structured path every animal follows at Latif Sons — sourcing, farm intake, feeding and care, monitoring and commercial preparation. Animals generally stay for approximately three to four months; see how our business works.
Farm Intake Farm Cycle
The moment newly purchased livestock arrives at the farm. New animals are introduced into the farm operation and assigned to suitable pens or groups for easier management.
Farm Records Management
Organized notes of everyday farm activities. Keeping records in order supports better livestock management and more informed operational decisions; private animal records are not shown on this website.
Farm Visit Buyers
An arranged visit by a serious commercial buyer to see the farm and speak with the family directly. Visits are agreed in advance by phone or WhatsApp — here is how to find our farm in Hujra Shah Muqeem.
Feed Lane Housing
A feed lane is the long strip along the front of the pens where feed is laid out, so animals can eat side by side from behind a railing. At our farm, fresh fodder is laid out along the concrete feed lane under the shed roof every day — see Feed Lane at Mealtime.
Fodder Feeding
Feed that is cut and brought to the animals — such as green crops, hay or straw — rather than grazed in a field. Fresh fodder is laid out for the herd every day as part of managed feeding.
