Livestock management involves more than simply feeding animals and waiting for time to pass. Every day, our team walks the sheds and watches the herd — quietly, and on purpose.
Why we watch every day
Regular observation helps our team remain aware of changes in animal condition and general behaviour. Small changes are easier to act on when they are noticed early.
You only notice a change if you know what normal looks like. That is why we look every single day.

Four levels of monitoring
Throughout the cycle, the team observes the overall progress and condition of the animals on four levels at once:
- Condition monitoring — animals are routinely observed throughout their stay.
- Growth observation — progress shows how livestock is responding over time.
- Management attention — slower or unusual progress gets closer observation.
- Commercial review — later in the cycle, suitability for buyers is reviewed.
From observation to decisions
Observation is backed by organised farm records, which support more informed decisions. Better observation means better farm management — and more practical decisions when the time comes to prepare an animal for sale.
